I'm goin back

After tons n tons of times being asked, when r u leaving.. the day has finally came.. i must say tis hols i've really rejuvenated myself.. like wat papa said, filled up my EQ.. hehehehe... now back to fill up my IQ i guess..

Nothing much to say.. just really really dread to go back.. i kno i kno.. university is supposed to be fun and all.. but somehow i just will miss home.. feeling the comfort of home for a month and a half now.. being close to ur loved ones where they spoil u till mad.. hahahaha.. so back to bein d independent self over there..

Will update more back in Sabah.. but for now lemme enjoy that few hours i hv left here.. like gonna die pula.. hehehe.. choi choi!! n my flight got delayed.. again.. typical air asia.. hehehehe.. of the many times i've traveled, tis will be a first delay for the departure from kul.. last time it was always in sabah.. mummy calling.. till the next post

Trip Down Terengganu

Been procrastinating too much lately. 4 days after my trip to Terengganu only I managed to make myself sit down n write this. Bad bad!! I better change this habit before sems starts. N that's like 5 days more!! Omg!! How time passes...

Ironically, the uncles n aunties back home here in Port Dickson don't think so. This few days I've been asked A LOT of times, or how do i put this, said to me a lot of times 'WAH u still havent gone back ahr?'.. Wat the heck! Then when i leave, they'll say pula 'WAH time passed very fast ho, awhile only she gone back d.' *smack myself on my forehead* haih.. Contradicting onot??

Okie okie. Back to the main story, trip down Terengganu. Well from my last post you all cud clearly c how upset i was to be stuck in Kuantan rite? Thinking back, it just maybe a blessing in disguise.. Well don get me wrong, I did enjoy my trip to Terengganu. However it was more of the lifestyle back there that was a lil' bit not so comfortable for me. Now I sound like a spoilt brat or more like an ungrateful brat don't I. Lemme explain myself further..

Oh yea, did i tell u my mom n dad played the roles of matchmaker for d uncle who came to our rescue in Kuantan? N by the sound of it, mummy was the 'mastermind' behind the whole plan? unbelievable? Believe it. (Now I sound like Ripley's believe onot. Lol) They were kinda sceptical about their compatibility, but by the looks of it now, they seem to be living happily. Yeah papa n mummy!!

So back to the story. Living in Terengganu was kinda tough, especially in papa n mummy. They hadn't been able to get used to sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Mummy wud always wake up with back ache till the point she had to take pain killers. So it wasn't so pleasant. Then there was the whole toilet piping system that was problematic there. Plus you know la it has been like ages since we last went back, so it was kinda awkward one way or another. But all these were minor stuff, n it definitely din stop me from having fun there!

I had the opportunity of experiencing kampung life all over again there. I have always loved cycling. Back home we cant cycle anymore as kel got involve in an accident with a motorcycle when he was younger n ended up with a swollen arm! Luckily it din broke or anything. But the pain he had to endure when it was healing i think he still remembers it till now. Especially the visit to the 'tit da si fu'. Crying in pain ahr! Now the bicycles are left at the back to karat (i suddenly forgotten the english word). So on this trip i went cycling around the kampung area situated near my gramma's house for 2 rounds!! weee!! cycling thru the paddy field, the oil palm estate (all small scale).. Then we even passed by the place they rared goats where they went "mek!!" like calling for a girl in terengganu slang. Lol. Then i also saw cows, chickens roaming freely (of cos the road oso filled with cow dung la.. all dried up d) as well as a large biawak!! scary ooh.. but it got scared of us so it oso escape quickly back into the bushes. I cycles behind uncle Art who was on the motorcycle. It was so much fun!!

Uncle Art on the first trip had Kel as a passenger on the motorcycle!! So berat the tyre almost puncture!! Padahal the weight limit was only like 90+ i think. Lol. Kel wanted to trade with me but me being afraid of motorcycle (i oso dunno y) of cos did not agree. He went cycling the next round but came back buntut sakit! Lol. How nice if we had an area like that to cycle back home. So few traffic with the fresh air (minus the smell of cow dung) and just the untouched nature for you to enjoy. Life like that once in awhile for me is okay i guess, but for the whole life i don think so..

A lot has changed since i last came to visit. Let's talk about development around Trg first. The road system had improved immensely. Now the whole way from K. Trg to my gramma's house is double laned! (don compare to Abu Dhabi la!) Then Malaysian style la, once the road has widen, the traffic lights oso will increase. All the way from Binjai Rendah to K. Trg, there are 14 traffic lights you hv to pass thru. Call that crazy! Once u get stuck at 1 red light, then it'll be red light all the way~ This does not include the traffic lights in KT itself u kno..

Other developments include shopping complexes for the KT folks! Last time when i went to KT to jln2, the largest 'mall' was The Store KT which sadly is even smaller than The Store PD!! yes!! I'm not kidding! Now they have 2 new malls. Mydin (which is always packed with ppl) and Giant. Both malls are situated side by side and you wud think that wud at least even up the no of customers so that it isn't that crowded. Wrong! Both are equally as crowded, esp Mydin which was like havoc inside. The number of stuff they buy r crazy, and to find parking spaces is even worse. Can get traffic jam in the parking area itself imagine that! I had to visit Mydin to get some stuff for my health promotion, so endure with the traffic la..

I had to go to Mydin to get some stuff for my Health Promotion come this 19th of June. That's d reason y i had to go back to campus earlier compared to other students. Oh well.. The sacrifices we have to make to continue on the journey of becoming a doctor.. Lol. I had the intention of getting toothpaste there as i heard rumours saying it was cheap. But it wasn't the price of the toothpaste that caught my eyes. It was the toothbrush. Lemme ask u, how much does the toothbrush u use at home cost? I bet it is more expensive than RM3 isn't it? Well imagine this, I managed to get 12 toothbrushes at the price of RM3. No no! Not RM3 for 1, more like RM3 for 12! Gila onot? So since i had to get like 100 toothbrushes, i took 9 packets (i know it doesn't add up to 100) for a total of RM27 for 108 toothbrushes! Worth it onot? Save so much of budget for my health promotion. Hahaha..

Never did it cross my mind that ppl dont buy THAT much of toothbrushes at ONE go. So imagine the stares i got from the ppl shopping there! They must be thinking i hv some obsessive compulsive disorder of liking to brush my teeth. Changing toothbrushes so often! Lol. Well that's a first and a last for me (I hope). I actually wanted to get the toothpaste oso. It was also cheap! imagine 24 tubes of Kodomo Lion Toothpaste (my toothpaste when i was younger.. So sweet!) for merely RM 40.80! Then mummy who stood beside me brought me back to reality. 'How r u gonna carry that back?' I stood there frowning. Come to think of it.. Call kawan2 lain to buy la.. hehehe.. Settle! Pay (after a long queue as expected)! Ciao (kena stuck in 'traffic jam' again)!

I wasn't joking about the toothbrushes..

One thing I've never realised about Trg are the names of the town. If you think bukit beruang and ayer keroh are funny names.. think again. Imagine ppl asking you, where do u come from? then your answer can be like this if you were to come from trg: Kedai Buluh, Gemuroh, Gong Badak (where the infamous stadium collapse), Batu Buruk, Pasir Panjang (I kno tis is common.. but long sand?), Batu Rakit (Tenggelam la Rakit tu) and the list goes on. Pelikkan??

But one thing that really caught my attention is Trg is BEAUTIFUL!! Okie i hv to admit Sabah is beautiful.. But Trg is also unique in its own way! Well just imagine Pulau Redang, Pulau Kapas, Pulau Perhentian.. White sandy beaches. And also Pantai Batu Buruk.. D name so tak padan. Cos it was so beautiful!! Next to it is also the infamous leaking pool of Trg. So many building probs. Haih.. Well for nature lovers, there's also the Sekayu waterfall, Bukit Bauk Forest Reserve, La Hot Spring and many more. Oh yea. How can i forget!! Turtles!! In Rantau Abang and you can also c turtles in the Turtle Sanctuary. Now for the 1 place that i've actually been there myself (besides pantai Batu Buruk) that i highly recommend u guys to go. The Kenyir Dam. It is really beautiful the view there.. And becos of the Dam, thus creates the largest manmade lake in South East Asia, Kenyir Lake.. Other places i can remember in trg are the Crystal Mosque (it is really a beauty!), Pulau Duyung and the floating mosque. The Crystal Mosque is where the Islamic Themepark is situated. Yes u heard me correct. That's wat the brochures says. So y not take a trip down Trg soon?

In Trg I managed to fulfill a lil dream of mine. I finally bought a kite!! (i can imagine some of u smacking urself on ur forehead.. apa dream pula?) But it is true!! I've been sayin i wanna buy a kite since i finished spm.. So it has been 3 years plus now!! weee~ tat's the kite i bought.. the 1 in d pic. So if u c tat kinda kites flyin in pd, it just might be me.. I was even mistaken as a 'mek terengganu' by the seller saying i had terengganu slang. Apala?? Half Trg la.. lol

Do Re Mi Fa So

How much they've grown since we saw them last. The 2nd boy is still as cheeky as ever, the youngest as cute as ever whilst the eldest is the responsible one. Imagine my cuzzy being just 12 years old, waking up on his own, prepare for school, makes himself breakfast, pack additional food for recess and wake his dad up after all is done to bring him down to wait for the van. Imagine my bro doing tat. Not in a million years! Okie okie. I'm just being harsh on my bro now. Even me being a Uni stu finds it hard to wake up in d morning to go for classes. Just ask izzy wizzy and he'll laugh until stomachache then only he'll tell u.. Haih

However, I'm kinda worried for them as well in a way. Their timetable everyday is crazy!! The elder 2 who goes to school leaves at 6 something in d morning, and comes back home at 6pm. That's like 12 hours!! On the weekend u'd think they have rest days. No! there's piano classes, swimming classes and of cos, tuition! Gila man! I cant imagine that kinda life. And here's me complaining abt goin to class from 8am-5pm. Haih. The younger bro will follow suit soon once he starts primary school. Thank goodness i din hv to endure that! I hate tuition!!

I havent talked much about my granny have i? Bad bad me.. Gramma is doin well. But her legs are really weak now. She cant stand for long and cant even walk up a curb by the roadside. She has to have someone holding on to her for her to walk. Thank goodness there's still uncle art there to take care of her. She still haven't change much. Still sayang me a lot. *perasan-ing* But it's true.. Always like me sitting next to her during meals. Hehehe..

The next thing you kno it has been 4 days already and we have to head home. Although kinda 'berat hati' wanna leave, but there's also a part of me wanting to get back home too. Nothing beats the comfort of home i guess. So it was bubbye trg.

Roadtrip Gone Wrong

Basically I had tis picture painted in my mind.. we'll wake up early in d morning.. get breakie on d way.. stop in bandar muadzam shah for a break.. head straight to kuantan for lunch.. head on somemore to paka or dungun for tea.. reach kuala terengganu in d evening.. pack dinner.. head straight to Binjai Rendah.. meet grandma..

D picture seems normal.. do-able rite?? well wrong!! i seriously dunno y.. it happens vy frequently nowadays.. every single trip tat we make.. sure d car somethin will happen.. haih.. don believe?? well a few examples i can recall:

1. trip to penang
Dreadful, painful, sticky trip.. we started d journey like normal la.. tapi the next thing u kno.. d car buat hal.. aircond not working!! somemore tat day d weather was like freaking hot!! my gawd!! bear with it for almost half a trip la.. with window open n hot air blowing in.. but worst of all was the worried face of my dad thinkin d car will break down anytime soon.. that happened last year.. about this time oso la!! in penang.. just be4 i left for sabah.. jie will remember it clearly.. free sauna..

2. trip back from klia
dad just got his car back from workshop.. apparently some lady din watch the petronas ad of pandang kanan-pandang kiri-pandang kanan sebelum jln (i kno i still hv difficulty differentiating right n left, but i lepas pandang kanan will pandang kiri again wat), drive straight out.. the rest is history.. so that day la dad's car suddenly when drive, loud noise la.. d whole trip back was just 1 heck of a worrying trip.. n imagine jln d road kat sepang.. surrounding u all oil palm plantation.. kalau betul2 breakdown (that time din kno was mud flap prob), habisla.. so worry la..

well just to make things short, basically everytime we travel, that's d time d car choose to protest.. haih.. this trip oso sama la.. we started d trip quite smoothly i wud say.. act in d morning when papa started d car can hear some sound d.. but we jz ignored it as jz another sound.. it wud go off.. when we made d stop at muadzam shah, the sound got louder.. we ignored it yet again cos d sound wud go off once we started driving.. but i knew every1 started to worry d.. then when we stop for petrol in kuantan, d car like totally gave up on us.. i cant even begin to describe d sound it made.. so cari la si mechanic.. luckily we found an eon service centre.. they oso dunno wat exactly is the prob.. 1 say aircond.. another say pulley loose d.. then another say another thing.. summary, u all stay in kuantan 1 nite while we figure it out.. latest by tmr noon u'd get d car.. let's hope they stick wit their words..

Then the worry really begin.. cham la.. where to go?? then dad n mom remembered their fren in kuantan.. then pandai both nv save the no in their fon.. call directory.. got a no.. called.. kena marah.. takde org macam ni di sini.. kenapa panggil sini.. wtf!! we malaysians r courteous ppl okie.. haiyo.. try directory another time... another no.. keeping fingers crossed.. jz as dad was abt to hang up calling d no, a man answered!! thank god he din change no!! so there he came.. brought us to his house.. then check in to hotel.. had tea.. then later freshen up be4 dinner.. visit another of dad's old fren.. then here i m.. in d hotel..

wow i din kno i felt all those emotions.. the more i described d more angry i got.. lol.. control control.. okie la.. we think positively.. i got to meet my dad's close fren back then.. the couple which my mom n dad match made (imagine my mom n dad as match makers.. lol).. got to listen to the funny stories of my parents back in d days.. it was fun la i admit.. met their kids.. 1 who was a former student in ums (graduated last year when i jz entered).. as well as his daughter who is the same age as me who has the sweetest smile ever.. then another of my dad's kid who is now plannin to do his phd (permanent head damage) in ntu.. got to drive around kuantan (although my bearing is still quite bad here).. all in it is still a good experience la.. but i don wanna get stuck here another nite!! i jz don like depending on ppl tat's all.. cos keluar hv to call him.. wanna get car hv to call him.. like vy problematic for him like tat although the uncle is a vy nice man.. haih..

so now all i hope is the mechanic keeps his promise n d car is done by tmr.. please please!! then we can continue on the trip back to terengganu.. till the next post.. (i tot the next post i was supposed to be back from terengganu.. looks like not..)

Why I love holidays?

How would any1 hate holidays?? I for 1 absolutely adore holidays.. Who can ever complain sitting around doing nothing but eat-sleep-play?? Eh wait.. there's 1 person.. a person very dear n close to me.. mi hermana!! she was so bored comin back home!! but i for 1 absolutely loves it when she was back here.. at least she was here to be bored with me.. hehehehe...

So why exactly do i love holidays.. let's c wat i've done so far.. came back from sabah (study not holidaying there although it is known to be a famous tourist destination) on the 30th of april.. Have been waiting for tat day for ages.. well u cant really blame me cos i miss home so much!! last i was back was during cny!! but then my hols had aldy officially begun in sabah earlier.. visited kundasang.. i was mesmerized by the beauty there.. the scenery was breath taking!!

Small New Zealand in Sabah

So basically we went to Kundasang.. a convoy of Malaysian made cars.. 2 Saga, 1 Waja n 1 Viva.. a total 23 of us.. Yes i kno d no cant be made up to 5 per car.. We had to la.. not enuf cars punya pasal.. hehehehe.. stayed in Rose Cabin.. a place for back packers with amazing scenery.. imagine opening up the backdoors n there it is.. The Majestic Mount Kinabalu!! Amazing~ Woke up at 5 to catch the sunrise.. But it got too cold for me to handle so tidur balik.. lol.. it was cold u kno!! i dunno how it wud be when i o climb mount kk next time.. scary.. bring thick thick baju..

Okie basically that was holidays in Sabah.. Now back in Semenanjung.. spent about a week here before flying off to abu dhabi for holidays!! I know i'm such a lucky chica.. lol.. So the 1 week spent here doing nothing much.. had to rush down to UKM on the 3rd day i was back for a competition.. Came back with the news that I'm going to Taiwan!! woo~hoo!! oh yea~ lol.. i did my research for the project okie.. totally deserved it.. lol.. So Taiwan here i come.. hold it!! before that abu dhabi dulu..

Wat i enjoy most about Abu Dhabi is basically spending time with sis.. I kno it sounds cheesy n all but it was like one of my habits since i was young.. Where Eileen is, that's where her sis will follow.. it gotten so bad at 1 point that my sis had to practically scream at me "go away la!" when i was younger to 'shoo!' me away.. but that never stopped me.. will stay put for awhile then continue following her.. macam papparazi.. or better yet her guard.. lol.. only after she went off to university she let me hang out with her.. boleh ajak me go yam cha somemore.. how things change when u're growing up!!

So spent about 2 weeks there.. almost.. basically tis time wasn't like the last time where sis brought me around to show me abu dhabi.. more relaxing n going with the flow.. i did get a chance to visit dubai again.. weee~ remind me how lucky i m again.. hehehehe.. so tis time instead of visiting burj al-arab, we head off to the most majestic building yet now in dubai.. or better yet the building that's towering all other buildings there r in dubai (dahla semua building in dubai dah tinggi2, ni lebih tinggi lagi beberapa kali ganda.. remind me of myself in primary school pula. lol).. the tallest building in the world..

It's so amazing to c it in real life.. u take a look at klcc n u're like whoah!! that building is tall.. now imagine looking at this building (almost double of klcc).. *pengsan*.. although still under construction, the sheikh (i'm vy bad at pronouncing this word) had aldy officiated it the day be4 i visited Dubai as the tallest building in the world!! Along with it..

Wow.. so many tallest, biggest all in 1 day!! hahahaha.. that's dubai my friend.. walking around Dubai Mall was fun!! i remembered holding up a dhs 2500++ dress for small girls.. call that crazy!! It was just a white dress.. i would say that it is like a mini wedding gown for small girls.. gila mahal!! shopped around.. din buy anything actually.. hahahahah... d food selection in the food court was good.. eastern meet western.. mexican, chinese, lebanese, american.. u name it, they have it.. healthy snacks to guilty pleasures.. all in 1 food court.. sedap~ hehehehe.. then i also had the priviledge of going into the largest bookstore i've entered so far.. Kinokuniya in Dubai.. it was huge!! for book lovers, this place seems like a paradise!! ranging from fiction to non-fiction, kids to adults, comics, manga.. semua ada.. hehehehe.. but this mall was more of a window shopping mall for me personally.. patutla din buy anything!! All designer labels, how to buy?? not like i earning millions a year.. 1 cent oso not earning now.. lol..

What else in the mall?? tons of other stuff!! i especially loves the entertainment the management prepared for the visitors.. there were like parades of walking clowns or somewhat like tat.. u'll get to hear them dancing around to their songs throughout the mall.. not forgetting stages for musical performances.. there were band performance, violin.. that's all i can remember.. tapi ada la lain2.. hehehehe.. oh yea.. 1 of the most exciting part of this trip for me was visiting the 'zoo' and the aquarium.. it was fun.. u get to c eileen n wayne harley dancing around in the aquarium.. keith n justin oso.. lol.. okie la.. not like that.. i saw a huge variety of fishes, seahorses, seal, penguin, sharks n many many more!! now this was the only photo i took..

That's y i took it.. hehehehe.. so nice isn't it?? playing with the penguin was a lot of fun.. they just followed ur strap.. swimming trying to catch it.. hehehehe.. All in a lot was learnt during the trip n i had a blast!! At nite be4 heading home we watched the performing fountain.. it was beautiful!! i had seen it thru dad's recording of it when he visited last time.. but c-ing it for urself is a whole diff experience!! the last part of the water show was when the water shot vy high up, then the wind blew n the water come pouring down like it was drizzling.. nak lari pun tak sempat.. so in the end wat la.. hehehehe.. i wud do it again.. hahahaha.. then i had another chance of watching it in the kinokuniya book shop.. it was an even greater view! cantik sekali.. Other things done in the mall.. saw a fashion show, watch ppl skating n falling in the skating ring, drank the coffee brewed by the man in the shop (i still don like coffee).. all in it was just a fun day out..

Imagine all that happen in 1 day sahaja.. what else i did in abu dhabi?? went to all the malls there.. had loads n loads of hot chocolate (hahahaha).. went makan in diff2 places.. oso tried wayne harley's cooking.. best~ specially liked the.. eh wait.. semua pun suka.. but the thing i did most there was.. friends marathon!! alamak!! pegi jauh2 to watch friends.. apala!! hahahaha.. i have been away from tv for too long.. made it all up the time i was in abu dhabi.. played cluedo oso.. i was good at it.. lol.. *perasan* speaking of cluedo, it was oso bought in dubai mall when we visited Hamleys.. it was like a fairytale come true for kids.. so much of toys!! felt like a small girl all together when i was there.. basically it was a real relaxing trip.. enjoyed it habis2..

Oh yea.. while in abu dhabi oso they organised a picnic for all.. played around.. ate a lot.. all in great day out.. it was so fun revisiting corniche.. it has been a year n 4 months now since i've been there last n corniche has transformed so much!! there's beach now.. hahahaha... imagine how much abu dhabi has changed.. constructions everywhere.. the F1 circuit oso in the midst of completion aldy.. the ring looks fantastic!! even i'm not much of a fan, but the ring design really is a piece of art.. even etihad airways have evolved in a lot of aspects.. the last i came there weren't that many malaysian pilots.. now sudah banyak.. finally got to meet justin ong ma lao in person.. now i understand y jie likes to talk to him so much.. last i came cuzzy was still a bachelor, now happily married although wedding ceremony belum diadakan.. will occur soon enuf.. so much has changed.. let's just hope for the better.. of cos it is for the better..

In a blink of an eye (i shud stop blinkin so much), back in Malaysia sudah.. it is so hot here!!! tak boleh tahan ohr!! jie was having a hard time adjusting back to the heat.. even for me it was hot.. patutla status tu appear in ym.. hahahaha.. back in Malaysia it's the same routine la.. so far i hv yet to swim.. i kno la.. stay in pd tapi tak gi swimming.. hehehehe.. tapi sudah watch movies (check!).. slept in cinema (check!).. watch series (check!).. you-tubing (check!).. forget about homework (check!).. update blog (half check!).. yam cha with frens (check!).. and the list goes on la.. hehehehe.. now other things that needs to be done:

1. visit grandma (in terengganu n mantin be4 heading back)

2. visit my dear cuzzies (sure all grow big2 d)

3. play tennis (loads n loads of it)

4. swim (at least once la)

5. shopping (a must-do!! holiday sales le)

6. catch up on my series (nanti balik there no chance again)

7. spend more time with family (nanti wont meet again for dunno how long)

8. meet up with form 5 gang (all dunno lari mana d)

9. keep own self happy everyday (always with a smile on my face, tis wouldn't be too hard)

10. start working on my health promotion project (i have to start at some point dont i?)

Okie la.. 10 things for now first la.. hehehehe.. 2 more weeks for me to enjoy.. let's not think about the limited time but enjoy every seconds of each day.. stop typing then 1 second gone liao.. hahahaha.. okie la.. tmr will be my long 12 hours (i think not so long la) roadtrip down terengganu.. till my next post when i'm back!!
