Time seems to fly cos it has been exactly a month since I first came to Sabah! I still can remember the nervousness and the panic I was feeling be4 coming to Sabah. Now looking back, it has really been a topsy turvy ride to reach the 1 month point. Filled with ups and downs, tears and joy, and just plain fun! Of cos la need to hv some fun eventhough at a land far far away. Kalau tidak die of boredomness lo!
So basically last week was more hectic than usual for me. Yea classes as usual la 8am-5pm. I feel as if I’m working already. Hahahaha. Last week was my first ever monthly test in university. Detik bersejarah u kno! I was seriously freaking out. Plus the English class is getting more and more complicated by the day. What background la, purpose la, results la with all the kung fu tai chi moves. Haiyo! Sometimes I really do dread going for English classes on Wednesday. Dah jadi conflict dah ini. Hahahaha. But no matter wat it is jz hang on to it la. Since it’s my choice(what was I thinking?), so take it like a man la. Eh no. Take it like a lady. Hahahaha.
Be4 I start complaining further abt my exam, let u all relax with a few pics la. I’ve been posting so many freakishly long posts with no photos, I read oso pening kepala. Finally I figured out a way to upload my photos up, all thanks to my roomie Bao Ling! So here r photos taken to summarize my 1 month here in UMS, Sabah.

As i said, last week has been a real roller coaster ride for me. Both academically, emotionally as well as physically. Imagine la i'm so tired that by 9pm i'll be asleep on my bed. Then climb up at 4 something to study. Sometimes even sleep at 7 then wake up at 10 to study. Then sleep again at 2 something. Haiyo gone la all systems in my body. Dahla barely exercise here. But then walk a lot la. Up hill, down hill just to get to class. Once even carrying abt 5kg load of books back to hostel! U kno how far it is onot? Hand oso macam nak patah. Somemore balik can so semangat sweep n mop floor. Hahahah. Siao d. So at times like this, me n my classmates will do some crazy stuff like walking for almost 3-4km to the beach of UMS just to catch a glimpse of the sunset(macam emo je?). Although it’s a long walk, but the scenery u see is worth the walking. At least for me cos it reminds me so much of home.

But it's no fun and games all the time. Almost everyday we have to meet up to discuss about all the class activities. So after c-ing each other for the whole day, malam pun kena berjumpa.

Anyway, the exam was seriously a nerve wrecking experience for me. Just the tot of it now gives me the shiver. It’s just that it’s the first exam n u barely know the format n how u r supposed to study. Dahla this first module is very general. Asking what is stress? What is conflict? It can get quite tough to write it out in words although u have a clear idea of wat those 2 stuffs are. Somemore do 12 subjectives cum essay questions in a span of 60 mins! Limit 5 minit per question. Swt! Hahahaha. As the exam hour approaches, u can really feel the butterflies in ur stomach and ur mind seem to go blank n u keep getting paranoid of not studying enuf. The next thing u kno, the dean enters and there’s nothing u can do but just do only lo. Hahahahah. Doing the paper at times u do freeze just by looking at the question thinking to urself, what the heck is this? Hahahaha. But it’s all good. I cant say that I did extremely well cos I kno I din, but I’m just glad it’s all over. Can’t bear to c the results now. Haihz.
Oh yea other than the exam last week we oso had a debate session as well as a seminar on history of medicine. Tension lagi. Cos both oso I involved. I think I talk too much in class that they like to choose me as a speaker although my pronunciations may not be perfect. At least it’s a way of shutting me up. Hahahaha. I really regret not sleeping and stayed up till almost 3 to find info for the debate padahal I just used like 1/3 of it. I want my sleep back!! Hahahaha. Then the seminar pula it was as if I was in a class for speed talking. I think the speed oso faster than the bullet train in Japan(ni sudah mengada ni!). But that was exactly how it felt like as we had a timeline to finish our presentation. Somemore with so many pairs of eyes staring at ya with the aircond on till the lowest possible temperature, that really did not help ease the nerves. Whateva it is, I’m glad it’s all over and I did have fun preparing for those 2. Positive thinking!
So after 1 hectic week(actually it was all caused by the exam), had to release tension somewhere la. Sat and Sun fully packed with fun-filled activities to release tension. So what does that mean? Shopping!! Hahahaha. But not enuf money, so ended up doing more window shopping. Be4 that I finally catched a movie here in Sabah. My first movie? Wanted staring Angelina Jolie. She’s so gorgeous! Although the movie was quite silly at times cos the bullet seemed to have a mind of its own that it can bengkang bengkok sini dan sana, it was enjoyable la. Funny at times. Hahahaha. Then went do some shopping be4 frens decided to eat sushi! They have been craving for sushi since day 1! So pegi la makan kat sushi king. I dunno what gotten into us that the 6 of us ate up till RM160.++. All hungry ppl. Hahahaha. Then went do grocery shopping (I’m suddenly so crazy over grocery shopping until macam aunty compare prices all d!) hoping to grab hold of the Giant first prize of the proton Saga. Hahahaha. Fat hope! Since we were so free, we took the time to really do some bonding among the girls. All belum mandi can talk from 7.30 till about 10.30 and could have gone on if it weren’t for some1 noticing the time. Girls will be girls.
